Cheaper surfing abroad with the Proximus day passFrom 27 June, Proximus customers can use a day pass for using mobile Internet abroad. They don't have to activate any subscription, they simply pay per day that they use Internet on their smartphone, laptop or tablet PC. A day pass for Europe costs ?5.99 for 10 MB and ?18.15 for 50 MB. The new day pass makes mobile Internet even more accessible abroad, and customers have a good overview of their expenses. More and more Proximus customers are using their mobiles to surf, also while abroad. That is why Proximus offers different rate plans for using mobile Internet abroad with a smartphone, laptop or tablet PC. To make the use of mobile Internet abroad more accessible, Proximus is extending its mobile Internet offer with two day passes, as from 27 June. This way, customers who only go abroad occasionally or for short periods can, for a low price, check their e-mails or surf on their smartphone, laptop or tablet PC as they would at home. Two day passes for cheaper surfing in Europe Proximus is offering two day passes for surfing in Europe: the Daily Travel Pass 10 MB for ?5.99 per day for moderate use on a smartphone and the Daily Travel Pass 50 MB for ?18.15 per day for intensive use of mobile Internet on a smartphone, laptop or tablet PC. Usage outside the bundle will be billed at ?1.50 per MB. Customers can also choose a day pass of 10 MB or 50 MB for surfing outside Europe. The day pass is easy to use. The customer only has to activate the Daily Travel Pass once, and can then use it abroad whenever he wants. It is the ideal solution for customers who occasionally go abroad for short periods. With the day pass, the customer also has a good overview of his Internet costs. He pays per day of surfing and is regularly informed about his data usage via SMS. For customers who go abroad for longer periods, and who want to surf and receive e-mails daily, Proximus has other rate plans that match their profile. Safe surfing abroad Proximus informs customers by SMS about their data usage in Belgium and abroad, so that they can keep an eye on their expenses. In addition, last year, Belgacom introduced a data limit of ?60 within the European Union to protect users against unexpected high costs. Users who do not want this data limit can contact the customer service (by calling 6030 toll-free from their mobile phone) or deactivate the surfing limit themselves via the e-Services. The same data limit applies for the new day passes. Calling and texting in Europe In Europe, Proximus customers pay ?0.42 (as from 1/7) per minute for outgoing calls and ?0.133 per SMS message to other countries in Europe. Receiving SMS messages abroad is always free. Besides the standard rates, Proximus has the Vodafone Passport option for calling abroad. With Vodafone Passport, customers can call in Europe at the same rate as their rate plan at home, plus ?0.99 per call.
