We need to get everything rightJenson Button has said his McLaren team need to get everything right if they?re to seriously challenge Red Bull in Singapore. This is probably the toughest race on the calendar and also the longest. Jenson Button McLaren Speaking to the media on Thursday Button said that his team don?t come to races to make up the minor places, but to get onto the top step they need to have a perfect weekend. ?We don?t come here hoping to just finish on the podium,? said Button. ?We?re here to race for the victory but Red Bull and Sebastian have done a great job this year and to beat them we can?t put a foot wrong and we can?t make mistakes, have bad starts or misunderstandings. We have to get everything right, and if we can get everything right then yeah, we have a really good chance of winning it.? With Ferrari running hot and cold, McLaren have emerged as the only reliable challenge to Red Bull Racing?s dominance but on a circuit expected to favour the blue cars, Button and team-mate Lewis Hamilton will have their work cut out trying to find an advantage ? but the 2009 champion is optimistic. ?We?ve done some work in the simulator and it feels pretty good but there?s still more work to do. Our car moves around a lot on the bumps, as you might have seen on TV, so that?s something we have to work with here.? Button yesterday had claimed the Singapore Grand Prix should be shortened as the Marina Bay circuit was too hard. Today he laughed that off: ?I said yesterday it should be shortened a little bit ? but that was only to give the other guys a chance! ?It is very, very bumpy here, so it?s also very difficult to concentrate and really focus. It?s tricky, and this is probably the toughest race on the calendar and also the longest. This is the one that we train for. It makes for a fun race.?
