The Water Institute of the Gulf is a fact
Deltares inspired Louisiana to form a water institute to coordinate research on
restoring the Louisiana coast. It is a nonprofit science institute that will
become the research arm of the state's coastal-restoration program. In the
article, the President of TWIG, Charles "Chip" Groat is cited. "In time, the
new institute hopes to become the equivalent of the Deltares institute for
water issues in the Netherlands, he said."
